With the growing number of engineers, competition is increasing as well. I was completely unaware of the Technical Support profile.But their is a saying that our destiny is fixed and our efforts take us to them. But in this field also the competition level has increased a lot.

Well let’s get to be familiar with this Tech Support Profile. All software development company have their fixed clients. And these clients look forward to get some sort of technical assistance from other companies. The Job of a Technical Support Engineer is to assist the caller with a technical solution. What actually happens is, the employees in the software development firm have certain calling numbers where they can get there problems resolved. The technical support engineer receives the call and tries to look for the solution in his database( any file that has the known issues with there solution listed in it). If he is lucky, he conveys the same solution to the caller. The problem is resolved. But if he is not able to find any solution in the database, then he has to find a solution for that problem and get back to the caller.

You might think that it is a kind of call center job. But a little technical knowledge is required. Technical in terms of hardware and software(software application/OS).

If you are willing to start your career as a technical support engineer. There is a lot of scope in this. Thinking that i attended all the technical interview calls hoping that at least i will learn how to face an interview. But luckily i got chance call from a small company where i started working as C programmer. I got very less salary but was happy that i didn’t had to go in technical support profile. And just after two months from then, i got call from Capgemini and attended the interview, cleared technical and HR round and joined Capgemini in March, 2014. I could see that the change was happening.

I discussed about this profile in particular because in my days of Job search, when i was expecting a call for Development profile, all consultancies were calling with this Job profile. That’s what happens with everyone.

But believe me, do certification courses from any institute(authentic one) and upload your profile on all MNC company’s portal. If your profile is selected they will give you a call.

Bangalore is the place of opportunities and you have to keep looking for one that interests you the most.
